First Phase Of Typically Epic Curry Capital 2013 Nears Completion

.

Here at TATTGOC, we love us some Curry Capital chat. And while the competition can sometimes seem like a multi-stage rocket, it's time to focus all our attention on phase one: nominating the team of four restaurants that will represent Glasgow in the competition. Last year it was KoolBa, Mister Singh's India, Mother India and Neelim, and Glasgow eventually placed an extremely creditable second. Who would you like to see represent Scotland's greatest city in this year's contest? You've got just over a fortnight to make your feelings known – the closing date for curryhouse nominations is Friday August 2.

For official details on how to vote, head over here:

GLASGOW CURRY CAPITAL 2013

The teams for each city (or London region) will announced on August 9 but even after that, there's still the opportunity to vote on the website for the city you want to win Curry Capital 2013: the closing date for that aspect of the competition is September 13.

In a change from previous years, the three cities with the largest number of votes will be revealed on the last day of National Curry Week, October 13. Then representatives from each of those three cities will head to London for the actual announcement and presentation of the trophy on October 20. After placing second for the past two years, it does feel like we all need to get behind Glasgow to give it a final push toward the top – so go vote for a fantastic restaurant to represent the city, and then vote for the city itself. WE CAN DO THIS BECAUSE WE ARE AWESOME.

And with that, it's time to wheel out TATTGOC's Curry Capital 2012 song again ... any ideas on what track the Tramps should revamp for 2013?
